New Forest New Comedian of the Year - Heat 1  at The Attic, Southampton

New Forest New Comedian Festival is giving over 60 new acts the chance to compete for the inaugural title, “New Comedian of the Year”.

You, the audience, have the power of deciding who makes it through, with each comedian getting just five minutes to show what they can do.

Heats will be live at venues across the whole of the New Forest, and the Final will be held on Saturday 17^th June at Hanger Farm.

The comedian that wins on the 17^{th of} June at Hanger Farm, will be fast tracked to the Semi-Finals of the national New Comedian of the Year competition, which is held at the Museum of Comedy in London in the Autumn of 2023. The winner will have their name next to previous finalists, including Rob Beckett, Rachel Parris, Dane Baptise, Sofie Hagen, Tim Renkow, Nigel Ng (Uncle Roger), Alasdair Beckett-King and Amy Gledhill.

Entry Requirements:

• The competition is free to enter and open to any non-professional act that’s been performing for 5 years or less.
• Entries from character acts, musical acts and sketch groups are welcome.
• All contestants must stick to 5 minutes of material or risk disqualification.
