Komedia New Comedy Award Winner 2026 Michael Campuzano
"In a comedy scene desperately short of working-class voices, how refreshing to hear Michael Campuzano talk of his day job as a binman. No pretensions here, as a slightly geezerish manner combines with robust gag-writing." Steve Bennett, Chortle
"Michael Campuzano is electric, a fresh voice that commands attention." Victoria Nangle, Arts Journalist, co-producer Komedia New Comedy Award
"Original, warm and upbeat Michael Campuzano took the roof off in his first five-minute spot at Comic Boom comedy club at Komedia, Brighton. Our audience didn't want him to leave the stage!" Jill Edwards, promoter Comic Boom comedy club at Komedia, Brighton

Equal parts teacher, overthinker, and professional observer of nonsense. James has previously supported Andrew Hamilton and shared the stage with Nathan Caton, Aideen McQueen, Alastair Williams and others.
