Laurie Bolger is a London based writer, standup & the founder of The Creative Writing Breakfast Club.

Laurie’s work has been widely anthologised & has featured at Glastonbury, TATE & Sky Arts. Laurie’s first publication ‘Box Rooms’ celebrated community & her working class London-Irish roots.

Laurie was the winner of The Moth Poetry Prize & was shortlisted for The Sylvia Plath, Bridport & Forward Poetry Prize. Her latest books include ‘Makeover’ & ‘Spin’ celebrating the resilience of working class women, autonomy & love & her debut collection ‘Lady’ is now available from Nine Arches Press.

Support act poet and writer Jenny Foulds 

Jenny Foulds (she/her) is a performance poet, writer and theatre maker from Scotland. Jenny is the host and curator of Spoken Word night Rebel Soapbox and has featured at poetry events across the UK including Hammer & Tongue, Loud Poets, Tongue Fu, Stanza Poetry festival and Glastonbury. She is also a former Scottish Slam Champion and World Slam Championship finalist. 

Jenny was a series regular in Two Thousand Acres of Sky (BBC) and appeared in various TV and film roles including Rebus, Mandancin’, Taggart and The Debt Collector. She will be touring her debut show Life Learnings of a Nonsensical Human in 2025/26 & will probably be reading from her upcoming collection You Belong Here With Me, My Darling.
