Hounds

Leaving behind past divergences, Hounds have embraced a fresh trajectory propelled by their revamped lineup, which not only embraces the contemporary era but also perfectly complements their ferocious, modernised approach to metal. The current roster boasts the talents of Thomas Jones as the new Vocalist/Frontman, with Guitarists Scott McLean & Mike Smith, Drummer Guy Brackenbury, and Bassist Ben Paget completing this diverse ensemble, a crucial asset for their innovative path.

"We Burn Our Bridges," an electrifying track, will mark the debut release from an eagerly anticipated EP. This release signifies a pivotal juncture for the band, a beacon of change that resonates within their lyrical themes, emphasising the necessity of daring actions to surge forward.

Similar to countless others, the band collectively grappled with life-altering moments that sparked introspection across dimensions of trust, manipulation, and perception. From this crucible of experience, they've not only gleaned profound lessons but also channeled the turmoil into a wellspring of creative inspiration. The aftermath of such moments has rendered them vigilant and perceptive, qualities that seamlessly align with the ethos of their novel musical voyage.

Hounds' evolution is a testament to their resilience and adaptability, embracing transformation as a catalyst for artistic rejuvenation. With "We Burn Our Bridges" leading the charge, their impending EP stands as a harbinger of their newfound direction—a blend of power and authenticity, shaped by life's trials and fortified by a determination to navigate uncharted territories.

As Hounds venture forth, leaving behind a trail of past experiences, they emerge as a united front, emboldened by the synergy of their collective history. This metamorphosis epitomises their commitment to both musical evolution and personal growth, a testament to their indomitable spirit and unwavering dedication to their craft.

With support from

Theorist

Formed on the Isle of Wight in 2018, THEORIST emerged from the remnants of local metal bands, bringing together three-quarters of the core band. This pivotal moment shaped their distinct sound, a fusion of their talents and influences. Comprising Andrew Rose, Keller Maxwell, Luke Thomas, and Luke Young, the members had nurtured their bond for years before merging their skills to craft a unique sonic identity while paying homage to their inspirations.

During THEORIST's early years, collaborations with local artists played a pivotal role in shaping their current sound. Despite a limited local music scene, their guitarist and producer Luke Thomas' home studio became the crucible where their sound evolved. Drawing from diverse influences including Trivium, Slipknot, Periphery, and Tesseract, the band meticulously worked on demos and reworked songs, refining their craft until they felt ready to embark on a journey to share their message and music.

In late 2019 and early 2020, THEORIST embarked on live shows with local artists, only to be met with the disruptive impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced them to adapt their plans. Undeterred, they continued to write and meticulously assemble what they considered the perfect introduction: their debut EP. Collaborating with artists from the south coast, they finally unleashed their debut EP, "PERCEPTION," in February 2023. Garnering enthusiastic feedback within their local music scene, their debut music video for "Paralysed" quickly amassed nearly 20,000 views.

Unfazed by challenges, THEORIST relentlessly pushes the boundaries of their sound, gracing stages across the UK alongside fellow emerging bands. With new music on the horizon, the band remains steadfast in their pursuit of musical innovation and growth.
