Headliner Alistair Barrie
Alistair is a much-loved regular at London’s iconic Comedy Store, where he’s a key part of the legendary Cutting Edge team. With countless radio and TV appearances across the globe under his belt, he’s also a firm favourite at festivals and corporate events alike.
A seasoned Edinburgh performer, Alistair has brought seven solo shows to the Fringe. His 2012 hour Urban Fogey and 2015’s No More Stage Three both earned runner-up spots for Best Show in the Amused Moose Laughter Awards—critical hits that showcased his sharp wit and distinct voice. No More Stage Three went on to wow audiences at the 2016 Perth Festival in Australia, followed by a European tour and a run at London’s Soho Theatre.
On stage, he’s starred alongside comedy greats—appearing in Breaker Morant with Adam Hills and Coalition with Phill Jupitus, which transferred to the West End after a successful Edinburgh stint. He also created and hosted Bye George, a comedians’ send-off to George W. Bush, at the Southbank’s Queen Elizabeth Hall in 2009.
Alistair has played many of the UK’s most esteemed venues, including The Bloomsbury, Lyceum, Harold Pinter Theatre, Shepherd’s Bush Empire, Oxford New Theatre, and the Manchester Opera House. Off stage, his writing credits span the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky, Radio 4, and a host of fellow comedians. A true all-rounder with a sharp brain and a generous laugh, Alistair continues to delight audiences wherever he goes.
