After weeks of intense competition, we have reached the pinnacle of the event. Prepare to witness the absolute best up and coming comedians in and around Southampton as they vie for the prestigious title of "Southampton Comedian of the Year."

Southampton Comedian of the Year Grand Final

The Grand Final will be an electrifying showdown, where the ultimate winner will be decided by both the audience and judges. Contestants who have secured their place in the Grand Final will showcase their comedic prowess one last time. The top performers, determined by a combination of audience votes and judges' scores, will battle it out for the coveted title.

As the tension rises, each audience member will have the opportunity to cast their vote for their favourite act on their ticket. The results, unveiling the triumphant performer who will be crowned "Southampton Comedian of the Year," will be announced with great anticipation on the day of the event.

Additional competition categories with a trophy up for grabs are young performer (under 30), Rookie of the year (those who have only started gigging in the last 18 months) and Southampton Female Comedian of the year. 

These participants will compete alongside others and will be judged separately in their respective categories. The winners in these additional categories will be selected from those who make it to the Grand Final.

Guest act and Judging Sean Collins

Over the last 30 years, Canadian comedian Sean Collins has become a renowned figure in the world of stand-up comedy. Originally from Vancouver, his comedy reflects a vibrant life and diverse experiences. Before venturing into stand-up comedy, Sean served as a counsellor for children with psychiatric problems. His excellence in comedy earned him the title of "Best Male Stand-Up" at the Canadian Comedy Awards. He was later featured at the prestigious Just For Laughs Gala in Montreal and had his hour-long show on Canadian TV. Sean is known for his laid-back storytelling style, often delivering personal and comical tales from atop a stool. While primarily performing in the UK, he has made appearances on popular shows like BBC's Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow and The Real Variety Showcase, maintaining a packed professional calendar."
